condolences to everyone out there who used to build websites from scratch with wordpress and woocommerce themes and sell them to people.

framer just added a chatgpt-style engine.

it used to take a total beginner 3 days of fumbling around to make a half-baked site. now, with full ai integration, that time's dropped to half a day.

you type out what you want, how you want it, and how much of it to the ai, and starting from morning to noon you design a professional, flawless site.

then you grab a domain and hosting from somewhere else and connect it to the site.

nepal culture: how naturally people can switch between completely different ideas of time depending on the situation. something can start much later than planned and nobody seems particularly stressed about it, but at the same time people can be incredibly patient with long journeys, ceremonies, family obligations, and things that would make someone from a more schedule obsessed culture lose their mind.

it makes you realize how culturally specific our idea of “being on time” actually is.

the universe expands by breaking order. nature returns the dead to the earth and grows something new from it. people change by leaving old versions of themselves behind.

chaos, entropy, and rupture are not always the destruction of life.

sometimes they are life being forced into a new form.

my dad always says the more features a machine has, the more things there are to age, fail, and break.

i’ve pretty much applied that logic to everything i own, and so far it has saved both me and my wallet a lot of trouble.

i’m sticking with it.

it's a nice film to watch in theaters, but would i watch it in theaters a second time, no. like i said, it's nice, a film that doesn't bore you over 3 hours, but it's not a masterpiece or anything.

i agree with the criticisms about the casting too, i could never buy tom holland in this role, spider-man kept coming to mind the whole time, zendaya's playing the same character in every film anyway, they could've cast less famous names instead of these two, and helen being black has already been criticized plenty, rightly so.

i don't think we're going to see films like interstellar or inception from nolan anymore, now that he's gotten swept up in woke culture too. his career looks like it's headed in this direction from here on. his career won't hit rock bottom, but it won't get back to those peak years either. this film doesn't rank in nolan's top three.

it was a nice film you could watch in theaters for 3 hours without getting bored, worth the money you paid for it. it's not a film you'd put on and rewatch over and over. like i said, not a masterpiece, but not a bad film to be dragged through the mud either.

after winning euro 2024 by beating italy, croatia, germany, france, and england, in that order,

they've now reached the final of the 2026 world cup by knocking out uruguay, austria, portugal, belgium, and france, in that order.

in both tournaments they had the toughest fixture list of any of the favorites. despite that, they won one, they're in the final of the other, and they'll be the favorites in that final. what's more, in the 14 matches they played across these 2 tournaments, they took 13 wins and 1 draw. apart from 1 match, they didn't even take a single game to extra time. and in all 14 matches they played, spain had clear control of the game.
