  • i’m still not sure if i want one, but this is probably the most interesting iphone apple has made in years.

    apple was obviously very late to foldables, so the interesting part was never going to be “look, it folds.” samsung and others have been doing that for years.

    what interests me more is what happens when apple finally decides a category is mature enough to enter. the duo opens into roughly a 7.6 inch screen, supports side by side apps and apple pencil, but still folds back into something phone sized. it also starts at $1,999, so this is definitely not apple trying to make foldables normal overnight.

    it feels less like a new iphone shape and more like apple testing whether the line between an iphone and an ipad even needs to exist anymore.
