donald trump

businessman turned 45th president of the united states. part of a massive pedophilia ring involving jeffrey epstein and ghislaine maxwell. claimed he would "make america great again" but has turned it into the laughingstock of the world by promoting racism, sexism, and failing to do pretty much anything useful. currently undermining the united states postal service, admitting to attempting to sabotage the presidential election.

most polarizing us president.

he is coming to our biggest little city*. he will speak at the reno-tahoe international airport saturday.

if i’ve learned anything from my major, and if all the articles and research have taught me a bit about social science, it’s that it is impossible for him to win the election.

there was one type of football he hadn't gotten his hands on, and by getting his hands on that too he's screwed up both football and an institution like fifa.

first, the idea of water breaks during matches may have come out of him. he definitely forced this on fifa, otherwise nobody in their right mind would do something this ridiculous and this widely criticized.

second, getting the suspension for the red card an american player received postponed, and the comment he made about it, is complete nonsense. people want to watch a fair game and tournament, but he's meddling in it, and he's doing it by using a worldwide institution like fifa as his tool.

third, the disgrace of a referee who came for the world cup not being let into the country. this alone is a scandal. it showed just how weak and helpless an institution fifa is.

fourth, the treatment of the iran national football team. their players were even interrogated for hours. on top of that, the injustices the referees did to them in the group matches are plain to see. he has a direct or indirect hand in this and many other things like it. he ruins everything he touches.

you shook the hand of every single player from the country that stood firm and upright against your politics, handed them the world cup with your own hand, and had a giant spain flag unfurled in the middle of new jersey. that's life for you.

the polls must be rough if the midterm pitch is now $5,000 for every adult.

one of trump’s more interesting moves last month had nothing to do with immigration or tariffs.

on september 29, he brought major ai companies including openai, google, meta, anthropic, and nvidia to the white house for a voluntary ai safety agreement. the companies agreed to things like outside auditing and protections against hacking, while trump talked about creating a small oversight group to watch the industry.

the weird part is that it captures the whole ai moment pretty well.

governments know this technology could reshape society, but they also don’t want to slow down while another country gets ahead.

so for now, one of the most powerful technologies ever created is partly being governed by companies promising to behave responsibly.

that’s a pretty fascinating political experiment.
