although both ceuta and melilla are located on the north african coast, they are spanish territories and part of the schengen area, which means they are legally spanish soil.

the last ten minutes completely changed the way i saw this film.
for most of the runtime, i thought i was watching a fairly straightforward revenge story told through metaphor. then the ending clicked, everything fell into place, and what had been a 7/10 instantly became a 9/10 for me.
the only reason it isn't higher is the opening sequence. i still have no meaningful explanation for it, and honestly, i wish i could unsee it. -
